With that in mind, breaking down the important parts would be a good way to start things off. Covering areas of analytics, copyright, productivity, metadata and others are what makes this occasion an interesting one. So, without further adieu, here are the 10 things you shouldn’t miss at DBW 2017.

1.What’s working?

The seminar, “What’s Working, What’s Not”, moderated by Jim Milliot, speaks on the state of the publishing landscape. He will be joined by leading editors from HarperCollins, Grand Central Publishing, Flatiron Books, and Rodale Press. This should prove to be quite instructive to those in attendance.

2.Selling Books

Like everyone else in the industry, you have to sell as many books as possible to make a substantial profit. “Listen to Your Media: Social listening for Books” covers the effective use of social media to market your books. This will be moderated by former Perseus chief marketing officer Rick Joyc.
